About Stonecrest

Traditional Craftsmanship. Modern Execution.

Stonecrest is a family-run masonry contractor that has spent more than twenty-five years building stone, brick, and hardscape work meant to outlast the people who commissioned it.

We start below grade, with excavation, compacted base, drainage, and footings sized to the load, because that is where masonry succeeds or fails. Above it we use natural stone and clay brick chosen piece by piece, mortar matched to the structure, and joints finished by hand.

What you don’t see
holds everything up.

I

Proper Foundations

Excavation to undisturbed soil, compacted stone base, and footings set below the frost line, roughly 36 inches here in southeastern Pennsylvania.

II

Quality Materials

Natural stone from regional quarries, dense clay brick, and mortar mixed to the right type for each wall, whether Type S, Type N, or lime.

III

Precision Installation

String lines, laser levels, and hand-struck joints. Every course is checked for level, plumb, and bond before the next one goes on.

IV

Weather Resistance

Drainage behind every wall, flashing at every penetration, and sloped crowns and caps that shed water through freeze-thaw winters.

V

Long-Term Durability

Work built to be handed down rather than redone, and backed by a written workmanship warranty from the people who laid it.

Before & After

Restored,
not replaced.

Decades of paint, failed patches, and the wrong mortar had trapped moisture in this 1880s brick façade. We stripped it, cut out the joints by hand, replaced spalled brick with salvaged matches, and repointed in lime.

Client Stories “

They rebuilt our 1920s fieldstone wall and chimney so carefully that the neighbors asked whether anything had been done at all. That is exactly what we wanted.
